The Friends of the Old Bridge Public Library have generously provided FREE passes for Old Bridge Public Library Customers to three of the area's most popular museums:

American Museum of Natural History (New York, NY)

Children's Museum of Manhattan (New York, NY)

The American Museum of Natural History has exhibitions representing people and animals throughout the ages, a planetarium and an IMAX theater, as well as special visiting exhibitions and lots of places to eat and shop.

Vouchers: 2 per family
Each voucher is good for 1 adult. Vouchers are one-time use, need not be returned, are not subject to late fees, and can be used anytime after being picked up.

Museum Pass Information

How do I reserve a pass?
Make a reservation in person at the Library at the Circulation Desk or by telephone at 732-721-5600, extension 5010. 

Is there a charge to reserve a pass?
There is no charge to reserve the museum pass but you must leave a $25.00 cash deposit when you pick up the pass except for the American Museum of Natural History*. The deposit will be refunded when the pass is returned ON TIME. If the pass is not returned ON TIME, a fine of $5.00 per day will be charged. The maximum fine is $25.00. Fines will be deducted from the cash deposit. Only one museum pass per household may be checked out at a time. If the pass is not returned or if it is stolen, lost or damaged; you will forfeit your $25 cash deposit.

Who can reserve a pass?
You must have an Old Bridge Library card in good standing to place a reservation. The pass can only be reserved with an adult card. A pass cannot be reserved with a child's card.

How many people are admitted to a museum per pass?
It depends on the pass. Check at the library for more information.

What is the "Day of Use"?
“Day of Use” is the day you plan on visiting the museum. The pass can be picked up between 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. the day prior to the "Day of Use" and MUST be returned by 1:00 p.m. the day after the "Day of Use".

Can I cancel my reservations?
Reservations can be cancelled. Please let the Library know that you want to cancel as soon as possible since others may want to use the museum pass for that day.

Where do I pick up my pass?
The pass must be picked up at the Old Bridge Library at the Circulation Desk no earlier than 4 p.m. prior to the "Day of Use”, except for the American Museum of Natural History*.

Do I need my library card to pick up the pass?
Yes, you MUST present the library card that you used when reserving the pass to pick it up.

Where do I return my pass?
The pass must be returned to the Circulation Desk (DO NOT PUT IN BOOKDROP) by 1 p.m. after the “Day of Use”. If the library is closed (for example on Sundays in the summer), the pass must be returned by 1 p.m. on the next day the library is open*.

*The pass for the American Museum of Natural History is a voucher. You do not have to leave a deposit or return the pass. You are allowed 2 vouchers per family per year, August 2011 – July 2012.

  • Always confirm operating hours before setting out, as these are subject to change.
  • User is responsible for any fees or charges not included with pass (such as parking, surcharges for special exhibit admission, etc.)
