Old Bridge, NJ – July 6, 2018 – The Old Bridge Public Library has created new Sensory Play and Music and Movement Baby sessions available this summer. Registration is not required for these programs.
The Sensory Play sessions will be held on the second and fourth Fridays of the month from 6-8pm (July 13 and 27 and August 3 and 17). Sensory Play was created for children on the autism spectrum as studies have shown that sensory experiences can be a motivating factor in a child’s development. This program will provide an area where kids can improve social play, and develop their fine motor skills, while investigating and exploring sensory stations. Siblings are welcome to attend the sessions and caregivers are required to stay and play with their children.
Additionally, some of the Library’s storytime sessions have evolved into Music and Movement Baby Time programs, where youth librarians will lead children and their caregivers as they wiggle, waggle and dance away for 30 minutes. Sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, July 10th and 17th at 10am (for ages up to 2) and Wednesday, July 11th at 10am (for ages 2-4).
The Old Bridge Public Library has consistently been voted one of the three Best Public Libraries in Middlesex County by the readers of the Home News Tribune.
