April’s Selection: Tallgrass by Sandra Dallas (2007)

All are welcome to join us as we discuss Sandra Dallas’s novel, Tallgrass.

Plot Summary: Her life turned upside-down when a Japanese internment camp is opened in their small Colorado town, Rennie witnesses the way her community places suspicion on the newcomers when a young girl is murdered.

About the Author: Sandra Dallas writes evocative historical tales of the West and Mid-West. They depict hard times in war and peace and are peopled by affectionately drawn but often quirky heroines, known for their forthright speaking and snappy dialog. Small towns and rural landscapes set the stage for these homespun, leisurely paced novels filled with period detail and humor. Dallas’s comfortable, satisfying tales often raise provocative issues as they take readers back to another time and celebrate the country’s past.
