The new RBDigital app, which merges Zinio and OneClickDigital content, will launch on June 27. Library patrons will be able to access audiobooks, magazines, and ebooks in one easy-to-use app.
- Audiobooks, magazines, and eBooks in a single mobile app
- Improved user experience and navigation
- In-app preview, checkout, renewal and title overview for finding sought-after content
- App notification to patrons for user engagement and technical support
- Simple menu structure and expanded help pages for all user levels
RBDigital will be available on June 27, 2017. Mobile apps are available for iOS®, Android™, and Kindle Fire™. Use the same credentials to login to the new app as you have been using for both of the previous apps.
The OneClickDigital app will become the new RBDigital app. OneClickDigital will automatically update as the RBDigital app if you have auto-update enabled. If auto-update is not enabled, the update will need to be triggered manually. Before the release of the new version, patrons will receive a notification about the upcoming update.
The OneClickDigital app will continue to work even if you do not update the app, but at a future date (to be determined), the app will display a message stating that the app is no longer available and that you will need to update their app.
Patrons using the Zinio for Libraries App will have to download the RBDigital app. You will be prompted to download the new app on July 10. You will also receive a countdown to when the app will no longer function (Sept. 8).
Any content downloaded through the Zinio app will be deleted when the app is uninstalled. The content will still be available for download in your user account when the new RBDigital app is installed.
After switching to the new app, you will no longer see Zinio branding anywhere on the app. Zinio branding can still be seen on the website but it will slowly be phased out as RBDigital updates its services.
Anyone using the desktop version (Media Manager) will be emailed and sent a link to upgrade their desktop program. There will be notices in the Media Manager web area about the upcoming migration.
