Prepare to be enthralled by local actress Diane Parker as she portrays the triumphs and struggles of the voting rights activist, Fannie Lou Hamer. In her tireless quest to gain the right to vote, Hamer became an inspiring and symbolic figure in the 1960’s civil rights movement. Parker’s original one-woman play, Sick and Tired, won awards for Best Actress and Best Play at the 2017 Strawberry One-Act Festival in New York. This program is presented in partnership with the NJ Creative Arts Collaborative.
