Second Saturday Concert Series: James Keene & Hsin-Yi Tsai

Violinist James Keene and pianist Hsin-Yi Tsai present a beautiful selection of French and German classics.

James Keene is a versatile soloist, chamber musician, and music pedagogue. Starting in high school, he has played solo, chamber, and orchestral performances for audiences throughout China, Italy, Spain, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and the USA.

James appears regularly with New Haven Symphony in Connecticut, the Philly Pops, The Mann Center Orchestra and is known in the New York metropolitan area as a performer and teacher.

He attended Interlochen Arts Academy, Rutgers University, and the San Francisco Conservatory. He won 1st place at the Russel Johnson Strings Competition in Philadelphia, PA and has shared the Carnegie Hall stage with Dionne Warwick. He has also engaged in live and recorded collaborations with Jay-Z, Vanessa Williams and Andrea Bocelli. 

Hsin-Yi Tsai made her debut at age 11 playing Beethoven Piano Concert No. 1 in San Francisco.
 
HsinYi has been active as both soloist and chamber musician internationally. She is also a devoted educator with experience in both teaching privately and group settings since 1995.
 
In 2012, Ms. Tsai co-founded SpeakMusic Conservatory, a community music school that offers innovative and creative music instruction to students of all ages.
