Old Bridge, NJ – Oct. 18, 2016 – The Old Bridge Public Library will offer a variety of new children’s programming in November to appeal to a wide array of kids.

 

  • Rubik’s Cube Club: Fri. Nov. 4th and 18th at 4:30pm. This new program allows kids in grades 4-12 to compete against each other as they try to solve the puzzle as quickly as possible. There will also be opportunities for kids to try to beat their own previous completion times. The club will meet on the first and third Fridays of the month at 4:30pm. A small supply of Rubik’s Cubes will be available to borrow for those kids who do not have their own.

 

  • Weird and Wacky Presidential Charades: Sat. Nov. 5th @2:30pm. Geared towards kids in grades 2 and up, this program will be played like basic charades with two teams. In this version, the kids will read a wacky and weird clue about a president and will then have to act out the answer as their team attempts to guess it. Clues will consist of wacky but true presidential facts. Prizes will be awarded to the team with the most points.

 

  • Maker Mondays: Disney Theme:

             Mon. Nov. 7th at 7pm: Ages 5-8

             Mon. Nov. 14th at 7pm: tweens grades 4-6 

              Mon. Nov. 21st at 7pm: teens

In celebration of Mickey Mouse’s Birthday, kids are invited to create some fun crafts dedicated to the world’s most famous mouse. Children under five must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is necessary by calling 732-721-5600 x5028 or online at www.oldbridgelibrary.org.

 

  • National STEAM Day: Tues. Nov. 8th at 7pm.

The Library celebrates National STEAM Day (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). This one-hour session will explore the wonders of flight as attendees create, decorate and fly paper airplanes.
