Old Bridge, NJ — May 10, 2016 — The Old Bridge Public Library will present a series of health and wellness programs in May that will appeal to a wide variety of residents.

On Sun. May 15th at 2pm, there will be a Honeybees and Apitherapy session. Hosted by Dr. Pat Kotlar Paslawsky, a farmer, chiropractor and health enthusiast, the program will show various honeybee hive components and products. The session will also explain how these have been used to help improve human health over the years.

On Tues. May 24th at 7pm there will be a Meditation Seminar presented by yoga and guided meditation coach Leah Chevalier. The session will instruct and guide participants in methods that can be incorporated into daily routines.

On Wed. May 25th at 6pm, the Library will present a Preparing for Your Mastectomy program. Licensed Occupational Therapist and breast cancer survivor Janice M. Woerner will offer tips on preparing for the hospital stay and will offer suggestions for easing the recovery process. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

Lastly, on Fri. May 27th at 10am, there will be a Healthy Summer Fun session. Presented by Michelle Golba-Norek, RN, BSN, of Meridian Health, the program will discuss the importance of protecting your skin and staying hydrated and taking necessary precautions to enjoy the outdoors.

The Old Bridge Public Library was recently voted “Best Public Library in Middlesex County” by the readers of the Home News Tribune.
