Old Bridge, NJ – April 9, 2018 – The Old Bridge Public Library will host a Volunteer Fair and spring gardening program this month. Registration is not required for either program.

On Saturday, April 21st from 11-3pm, the Library will host its second Volunteer Fair.  This will offer an opportunity for teens and adults to meet representatives from local organizations and agencies, and learn how to get involved and make a difference in the community. Some of the organizations expected to be on-hand include: Caring Hospice of Central NJ, the Girl Scouts, the Kiwanis Club of Old Bridge, the Old Bridge Animal Shelter, Old Bridge CERT and the Madison-Old Bridge Township Historical Society.  

On Wednesday, April 25th at 7pm, there will be a program on spring garden preparation. Master Gardener volunteer Shyamala Sharma returns to the Library to present helpful information for planning and caring for home gardens. Attendees will learn how preparing the soil and pruning shrubs and plants will help ensure vibrant color and healthy plants this spring and summer.

The Old Bridge Public Library has consistently been voted one of the three Best Public Libraries in Middlesex County by the readers of the Home News Tribune. The Library is open seven-days-a-week and is located at 1 Old Bridge Plaza at the corner of Rt. 516 and Cottrell Road in the Municipal Center.
