Old Bridge, NJ – Dec. 4, 2018 – The Old Bridge Public Library will offer the following sessions which will allow patrons to focus on health and mindfulness during the hectic holiday season:

Adult Craft: Fridays @10:30am. These weekly sessions provide a relaxing activity for adults to unwind. Watercolor Snowflake Painting will be the featured craft on Dec. 7th, and adult coloring on the remaining Fridays. Supplies are provided.

Socrates Café: Thursday, Dec. 13 @ 11:00am. The Library’s monthly Socrates Café is a gathering where people from different backgrounds can exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences. It embraces the central theme of Socratizing — the idea that people learn more when they question and question with others. This month’s topic will be: “What and When Should We Judge?”

Integrative Mind-Body Healing Strategies for Winter Wellness: Monday, Dec. 17 @ 11:00am.  This session will explore guided imagery, breath work and a meditation session to learn helpful tips for beating the “winter blues,” minimizing stress, and increasing optimum well-being. Presented by Nadine Roberts, a Certified Integrative Mind/Body Healing Arts Practitioner and Usui Reiki Master and Instructor.  This program is sponsored in part by RWJ Barnabas Health. Registration is required by calling 732-721-5600 x5033 or online at www.oldbridgelibrary.org.

Support Group for Women with Diabetes: Thursday, Dec. 20th @10:30am. This support group exclusively for women, sponsored by Diabetes Sisters, offers an inclusive environment for peer support.  At each meetup, participants are encouraged to focus on their own health and share their life experiences living with diabetes with women who understand the unique challenges diabetes poses.  The group meets on the third Thursday of every month.  Women with all types of diabetes (prediabetes, gestational, type 1, type 1.5, LADA, type 2, etc.) are welcome.
